Rosebud Primary School is complete!
The $13.77 million rebuild of Rosebud Primary is now complete! The new classroom building is open to students and the new state-of-the-art gymnasium is a massive asset for the Rosebud community.
Red Hill Consolidated School
We’ve completed upgrading Red Hill Consolidated School! Here’s a look inside some of the beautiful new spaces.
Peninsula Specialist College
Peninsula Specialist College in Dromana is getting a $9.5 million UPGRADE!
This investment will upgrade and modernise the school, including the construction of a new classroom!
Dromana Primary School Rebuild – Under Construction
The $8.7 million rebuild of Dromana Primary is well and truly underway, with works expected to be completed early next year. This will transform the Dromana Primary community and I can’t wait to see progress develop over coming weeks and months.
Rosebud Secondary College Rebuild – Under Construction
The $10 million works to rebuild Rosebud Secondary College are now underway, with a builder appointed at the end of May this year. The full building works will be completed by the middle of next year – transforming the school in a monumental way.
Protecting our Green Wedge
We must preserve the Green Wedge on the Mornington Peninsula for the long term, especially with so many people calling the peninsula home due to our lifestyle and liveability.
Saving Flinders Pier
In the Victorian Budget yesterday, $1.5 million was allocated to begin the planning and restoration works on Flinders Pier.
This follows a long campaign by Save Flinders Pier after it was announced that the wooden pier would be demolished.
$1 million for McCrae Lighthouse
The restoration of historic McCrae Lighthouse was completed in September 2022! The project, one of my election pledges, received $1 million from the Victorian Government.
Rye Township Plan
The Rye Township Plan is a $6,500,000 project being delivered by the Victorian Government and the Shire. This project was supported by a $3.25 million contribution from the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund!
$100,000 for Rye Jetty Upgrade
As part of the Recreational Boating Structural Maintenance Program, the Victorian Government has provided close to $100,000 for upgrades of the ramp’s western jetty.
Saving Arthurs Seat
On 27 April, I did a poll on my Facebook page which asked for the community’s views on the Hillview Quarry proposed at Arthurs Seat. The results were emphatic. Over 4,000 people voted in it and 97% voted No. Finally, the RE Ross Trust listened to the community.
$2.15 million for Flinders Civic Hall
In September 2020, the Shire received $2.15 million towards the Flinders Civic Hall redevelopment through the Victorian Government’s expanded Growing Suburbs Fund. Works started in May 2022 at Flinders for the new town hall!
Helping to stop the Gas Import Terminal at Crib Point
The Minister for Planning determined that the proposed Crib Point Gas Import project would have unacceptable effects on the marine environment within an area of high conservation value and should not proceed.
New and Old Coming Together at Pt Nepean
There will be more to do and more places to stay at the popular Point Nepean National Park thanks to a $10.5 million investment by the Andrews Labor Government.
